
About Greater Fort Lauderdale Works
The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance is conducting a workforce gap analysis to evaluate the area workforce needs. Boyette Strategic Advisors will work with the Alliance to do the following:
- Confirm the labor market area for the 31 municipalities in Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County
- Identify and quantify workforce availability in the area
- Analyze in- and out-migration patterns
- Determine skills attainment and qualifications and identify skills gaps related to Greater Fort Lauderdale’s targeted sectors
- Review trends and patterns of the workforce in Broward County and surrounding areas
- Develop data to share with business prospects considering a location in the area
In addition to a general workforce analysis, a thorough middle-skills assessment will be completed for the Information Technology and Aviation/Aerospace sectors. The analysis will include both qualitative and quantitative research, extensive stakeholder engagement and strategic analysis, all designed to provide invaluable tools for economic development and workforce organizations in Greater Fort Lauderdale. Findings will drive recommendations for enhancing workforce assets and addressing challenges, as well as demonstrating the value of the area’s workforce to business prospects. The recommendations will be shared with regional education and training providers to inform their programs and services.
